Calla Lilies

Wow first update in months!


I've put art aside for some time now. I just couldn't bring myself to pick up a pencil or a paint brush to do anything...until today when I had some inspiring conversation with a dear friend. He inspired me to be a better person and inspired me to start doing art again. Anyway, this drawing isn't much but it's a good start for me to start this year (even though Jan is almost over...better late then never!)

If you've been wondering what I have been up to the last 5 months when I wasn't doing any drawings or paintings, I've been crocheting. I'm actually surprised that I haven't gotten bored with it yet. I started a blog to help myself keep track of all the projects. Feel free to check it out!

watercolor practice 2

I decided to try watercolor with the sketch I did a few days ago (click). It's on super cheap watercolor paper and I can't say I like the texture. it's not very obvious until it's been scanned.

Getting back in the groove

It's been a while since I drew anything and I made a promise to myself to never let it happen again. This is based off of this photo: (click). I tried to stylize it a bit from the photo. Will probably make this into a watercolor painting later this week.
